Good luck to all the young people who are awaiting their A level results tomorrow. It is such a stressful day for them and their parents especially if they are aspiring to go to Uni

A level pass rates have risen to 97.8% - another record high - but the share of entries getting the highest grade has remained unchanged from last year at 27%.

29th consecutive year that pass rates have risen.
by this evening their will be furious debates by those who think the exams are getting easier and those from the teaching profession who feel slighted and insist that it is the hard work of them and their pupils that has borne fruit.

not wanting to put a dampener on but forensic psychology and sciences are over loaded with qualified people.

Thanks Marek and Howard. I think he knows that Howard, but ever since his first lesson at school he loved the subject and changed his choice of career.
I must publicly praise his mum, my daughter Wendy, she raised the two boys as a single mum on benefits, neither have ever been trouble and both have now gone to uni.

an achievement indeed, doubt that the daily mail would give wendy credit though.
there was a big debate on the forensics thingy a year or so ago, programmes like cracker and another one whose name escapes me lit the imagination of our educated young.
i can see the attraction i have to admit.
