Marek, when people crossed the Sea in Stone Age times with their families and in small boats, they would have only gone in the direction of the White Cliffs of Dover, the only part of Britain visible to the continent, and the most direct, and safest, route. For oldest town I mean oldest settlement, of-course, and also oldest port.
