Each year I get asked along to events at Dovers top school .
And the main event of the year is their Prize giving Ceremony in fact it is over 3days ending with the prize giving in a very big tent in the grounds of the collage.
First day is a Summer Concert in the Refectory by the collage,
Second day is the Junior Final Assembly in the school Chapel.
And on the last day is a very full day starting off with Coffee in the Cloisters and ending up with tea at the close and the main event is the prize Giving Ceremony its self they always aske along a V.I.P person to give out the prizes.
Wrong it is not myself.! That by the way is just a joke.
Some years it is a very high ranking officer .
But this year it is Mr Michael R Goodridge Esq,MBE,LL.B (HONS).I am sorry but I do not know him or his roll in the UK maybe you can tell me.?
We in Dover are very lucky to have such a well run top school and it always turns out top young men and women that go on to very high jobs around the world not just the UK.
I have always been a very strong supporter of the collage but why they always aske me along I do not know.
But just to sit there and hear name after name of the students and the prizes that are given out to them for being top of their studying and then most moving on to a university or a place of some kind of occupation like a Army officer is great and also to hear the students talking about their time spent at the collage over the years and thanking their Masters and the headmaster is a event both my wife and my self feel it a great honour to be asked along.
Dover have very good run schools turning out some very good young persons and we are very lucky to have them +a collage like the one I have been talking about and not forgetting the Duke of York school just outside the town over the year all the schools put on very good events and we as the public must give support to them all when and if we can. Thank you for reading my post about them.
