  I tried to reshape that line above Terry to fit better but couldnt get it to work so left it..
  
  But an extraordinary story... The problem is all sorts of excuses are used but once a deep recession bites with job losses and so on, people cant afford to keep the animals and return and/or abandon them and what have you.

  Funnily enough a dog owner over here is being prosecuted for not having a licence for a half Staffordshire Terrier that,unmuzzled,attacked and killed a smaller dog.
  
  The owner faces gaol and the dog faces execution...should be the other way round in my opinion.

  so many dogs are just status dogs.
  
  those owners lose out when dumping their dogs, they are great friends and fun to have around.
  
  all they need is their grub and exercise, they give a lot of affection in return.

  my great uncle had a saying,it somthing along these lines.a wife is for life unless you diviorse her but what ever you keep the bleeding dog its more faithfull and cheaper to run.
