Alexander, I think Bern sums it up beautifully. That building has not been a 'church' for many years and it would be perfect for a use which could benefit the whole town.

Last night I was watching a documentary on a church in Cyprus built on the site of a shrine to the Mother Goddess, it was filled with images of the supposedly 'virgin' Mary. From one mother to another and serves as a reminder that changes do occur to 'sacred' sites but there are times when the useage can serve a similar purpose to the original. Good theatre can be as inspiring as a good sermon.
