  the above [a 20] is now closed due to an acident fplkestone bound near samphire hoe,traffic backing up to wards the docks.
  
  please divert up folkestone road [b2011] if going that way.

  thanks as ever for keeping us informed brian. samphire hoe does seem to have a fair share of accidents nearby.

  Thank you - with this weather too I think I will just stay in the office today!
  For a few months that section of the A20 had signs prohibiting lorries from overtaking but the signs were then taken away. Anyone know what happened as the overtaking lorries seem to add to the hazards of that bit of road and the signs appeared to be a good move?

  It was just a trial 6 months of no overtaking, it did make a small difference, but not sure of the outcome...

  I personally think those signs should be put back up and permanently. That stretch of road needs all the help it can get to make it somewhat safer

  agreed.the road tends to be to fast at times hence the total shut down at times.thereare to many issues to be discused,the problem is where to start.
