A recent survey in the Norfolk Farming Times came up with the remarkable statistic that 9 out of 10 Turkeys would in fact vote for Christmas were they given a chance to do so. Turkey farmers were very pleased with the results of the survey saying that it showed how much work they put in each year to making the lives of their stock comfortable and happy in the run up to the season of good will. However, a local cynic pointed out that Turkeys only ever see the bright lights and excitement in the run up to the big day and are never told what it all means to them as Turkeys. As there are relatively few survivors of the season, its consequences are rarely handed down to the next generation.
Now that that useless tit-bit is done with please feel free to talk about any subject whatsoever that is ony very loosely connected with the thread title.
G. Osborne's spending cuts?
The economy has left the intensive care unit.
Well Intensive Care was another victim of the spending cuts, then. There goes the economy.
I cant help wondering if the turkeys polled were a fair cross section of the various breeds and whether the questions were simple or the usual gobbledegook.
