    You may have hit the nail on the head with your observation Bob, certainly no shortage of admin staff, porters, technicians, nurses etc running around. When I told the young girl that was doing my scan that I suffered from chronic back pain she was away and back in seconds with pillows to make me comfortable for the procedure. I did wonder what would happen if there was a serious emergency in A & E or an inpatient took a turn for the worse and there were no senior staff on duty.

    Politicians should aim their flak at the top brass rather than the people on the front line.
