  We seem to have gone off message with this one! A major investment in Dover that will provide training facilities never before offered in Dover. At present, mariners have to travel to places like Warsash in Southampton. This new facility should appeal to the local ferry companies, as well as other shipping operators worldwide. New regulations will require seafarers to undertake refresher survival and fire training every five years, so this will be a major new market. Local hotels and guest houses will also benefit, and it will be a great facility in which to engage young people in the potential career opportunities in the maritime industry.
