Charlie has hit the nail on the head with these comments, closing so many Emergency Departments in smaller hospitals has certainly put extra pressure on the remaining EDs. Surely a state of the art ED is not needed for a simple broken arm that only needs plastering and definitely not for a cut that needs a couple of stitches.....
