  alex does make a good point - who is likely to attack us?
  
  the countries that we send our troops into are not a threat to us, usually we get involved in order to help keep peace in a region which always tends to backfire.
  
  we are a nett importer and always will be so i cannot see why any nation would attack its customers and lose business.
