The F-35 is planned to be produced in the number of 2500, at a cost of £100 million each. That gives a total of £250 billion.
Add to this the operational expenses, including spare parts, ammunition and missiles, and petrol.
We could actually be talking here of £500 billion to be thrown away on the F-35.
The plane is planned to be used by the USA, Britain, Canada, Italy, the Netherlands, Turkey, Australia, Denmark and Norway.
Then we have the two queen Elizabeth-class aircraft carriers Britain is building, at a cost of many billions of pounds, and already well over double the original budget estimated for these two vessels.
Of-course I was thinking queen Elizabeth was supposed to be the head of the Commonwealth - half the world, and that British governments had given almost all Britain's production plant to China and the Far East in general in return for unemployment and trade deficit.
Evidently all this wasn't enough, they still feel the need to build four nuclear submarines armed with nuclear missiles and to purchase these F-35 planes at £100 million a piece.
Not to mention the other expensive warplanes and war machinery that Britain and so many other countries - allied and less - are building now and plan to produce in the future.
Were we not supposed to be allies of China, having given them all our electronic and textile production?
All we got was Gideon and his silly briefcase and a very large bill for more war effort!
Who's paying for all this silly nonsense? Us the bankrupt populace led by inept politicians who have flung away our industrial production and are about to uproot our last remaining farms and woods too, to import everything from China and Bangladesh and India, but still in need of spending uncouth sums on arms and weapons.
To fight WHO?
