    I do miss my friends in Dover..thats very true. Luckily I have gone from one coastal town to another.I couldn't live away from the sea. The big differences are Jersey is a non EU member,crime rate is at a 10 year low,streets are very clean and it's a safe place to bring up kids. Disadvantages are high cost of living,very expensive house prices,high rents,quiet in winter and employment restrictions for non residents. But you have to make the best of wherever you live. Luckily I have a brother and sister on the island with their respective families..just a pity I'm the black sheep of the family..
