  i personally think there are other options available, like looking at the junction itself... looking at castle avenue maybe, making it one way only, so you couldnt come out by the top of the junction , therefore eliminating a few bits of traffic there, and maybe look at putting the lights in conjunction with the other lights not just as for walkers, as i think the main problem is that its hard to get out of that junction sometimes...
