    Clegg is desperate to seem tough or 'potent', that favoured word of those with delusions of grandeur. He won't achieve that with the Tories who can do as they please while he rolls over. Clegg's claims to be getting tough on the NHS were revealed to be over the concessions that Cameron has already agreed to in order to keep his own member's happy. Lots of noise but no substance.
    Clegg's best chance for rehabilitation is to side with the Labour Party and Greens in a 'progressive alliance' to rein in the excesses of Cameron and prove that he has a social conscience rather than just a lust for power.
