'1940s Wartime Weekend' at Dover Transport Museum 27/28 April 2013
Following last years' very successful event, Dover Transport Museum is pleased to host another special event
'The 1940s Wartime Weekend' which aims to commemorate the vital role that Dover played as both a Port and vital hub of national defence during WW2, in addition to highlighting the contribution of those on the Home Front, and that of our Allies, throughout those war years.
The Event will be inspected by 'HM Queen Elizabeth', a local lady historian who accurately portrays the then Queen (the late Queen Mother) as she was often seen during those war years, visiting the bombed towns and factories of Great Britain. Arrival 12.30, subject to enemy action.

Military & Home Front displays and demonstrations.
Period Band and Dance Group
Replica 1940 Bf109 Messerschmitt aircraft

The Event will be open to the public from 10:00am until 17:00 both days.
Adult Admission: £5.50. Senior Citizens: £4.00. Children: £4.00 (Age 5 - 16). Family: £12.00 (2 adults & 2 children or 1 adult & 3 children)
Cafetaria and BBQ will be operating on the day.
