    Seems my thoughts on the chamber are pretty widespread. I have nothing against individuals but you have to ask what is the point of it all?

    A couple of months back I was at Deal Town Hall and a man from the R&A did a talk on the Open and the benefits to the area, after all its the 3rd most watched sports event in the world on tv, after the World Cup and Olympics. He said he first came to Dover in 1945 when it was recovering from the shelling and that it hasn't changed a bit.

    Most people laughed but I didn't find it funny. Deal and Sandwich are vibrant and busy, we've got nothing but promises and empty sites.
