    can anyone help me here? i am trying to find someone. i am an ex soldier putting together a reunion. whilst we were doing this we heard that a great friend by the name of Chris Newman, had died whilst attempting a winter crossing of the channel in a canoe. I know this is not strictly the swimming subject, but i thought if anyone can point me in the direction to verify or see a newspaper report or headline this would be the place. i would be grateful for any help
