Tours at the Drop Redoubt

There are two tours available, one at 11am and another at 2pm. The tours look at the Drop Redoubt; while the Grand Shaft is open on the same day, it does not form part of the tour.

There are many stairs within the fort as well as uneven surfaces; unfortunately this makes it inaccessible to wheelchairs and pushchairs. There is no charge for the tour, which lasts approximately two hours. The duration of the tour can prove a bit too long for younger visitors, so please think carefully before bringing children younger than 8 years old as it can be a bit too much for them.

If you wish to book onto one of the tours, please e-mail us with the number of places you wish to reserve and the date and time of the tour you wish to book onto. Please be aware that places are strictly limited to 20 per tour, so booking early to avoid disappointment is strongly advised. Please don’t just turn up without a booking as you will be refused entry.
