Ethans MPS Ball

We invite you to participate in Ethan's MPS Ball on 11th May 2013. To coincide with MPS Awareness day on 15th May 2013.

Ethan is the son of a dear friend and supplier of the Hotel for many years, he is 4 years old and has MPS 6. Most of you will not know what MPS is let alone MPS 6, because Ethan is 1 of only 23 children in the UK affected by this syndrome.

Worldwide, one baby born every eight days will be diagnosed with an MPS or related disease. These multi-organ storage diseases cause progressive physical disability and, in many cases, severe degenerative mental deterioration resulting in death in childhood.

At present, there is no cure for MPS! The MPS Society is the main beneficiary of this event, the money raised will help fund research and crucial clinical trials.

In addition, 20% of all money raised at this event will be donated to Kent and Canterbury Hospital in memory of Sue Hepple. After many months of weekly infusions at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Ethan, Sue and her team set up the required treatment at Canterbury making life less of a struggle for Ethan and his mum. Sue also worked at Buckland Hospital in Dover. Her dream was to create an outside treatment area for the children at Canterbury and we aim to make her dream a reality.

We need your help and in return we promise you a night to remember!

A champagne reception, a four course meal with entertainment throughout and dancing until midnight, incorporating an auction, raffle, fundraising games and a chance to have your picture taken in all your finery.
