A Victorian Christmas

A lovely victorian themed concert party performed by the talented Caledon Singers in full costume. After a witty and festive (and occasionally downright hilarious) concert including comic songs and all the things that you might remember from 'The Good Old Days' there will be an interval for mince pies (free) and you choice of hot or cold beverage, alcoholic or not, (at normal prices). Following the interval an entertaining and fascinating Magic Lantern show using original Victorian Magic Lantern and slides from that period to the end of the second world war, including many of historical interest about Dover and its environs, with a seasonal theme and musical accompaniment in the style of the silent movies. An unusual and fascinating entertainment for all ages and a wonderful escape from the over commercialised christmases we experience today.
