Added Extra: As we are talking about loud shirts, here's one from the archives...how loud can you go!!?
Yes those same two larger than life characters in 2007 in LOUD LOUD shirts...it was enough to dazzle the natives and particularly journalist Mary Graham of the Dover Mercury. It was in fact Mary's leaving "do" at the White Horse prior to her galloping off to pastures new. But those shirts... Be dazzled and weep! I did have a shot somewhere of four guys looking ever so gaily tropical, but I cant lay my hands on it and probably just as well! (see the comments below)
Chaps left to right. Bigtime politico Nigel Collor and Thomas 'Guzzler' Mitchell. Shot on right Ian 'Croc' Lillford and that man Nitro Nige again.
No party is much fun without a bit of glamour and these two full boooosomed ladies on the left deliver this with something to spare. Not that I would notice things like full boosomed glamour , no sireeee! They are of course Colette Boland and Alison Williams. As you can see Alison is currently incapacitated by an injury...we warned her that skiing on the M4 was impossible in summer, but would she listen!!?
Ah! top right we have the lovely BrionyB with Barry Wadsworth-Smith enjoying the event and waiting with baited breath for the arrival of the carnival. Just below them more heavyweights. Cameron McSween of the Chamber, Roger Walkden popular councillor and on the right former Mayor lovable Bob Markham!
You can see here that big Guzzler was unhappy with some of my previous editorial and is about to do my person some near permo damage, but at the eleventh hour was talked out of it with the promise of more of that Rumanian beer!! Phew! ... that was close!
Heavy Conservative dudes here. Barry Williams former chairman of the local Conservative Party with Nigel Collor the current chairman of the local Conservative Party. And on the right through all the fun and frollics, the band played on. This is a lovely picture and even better seen large, showing one of the members of said band strumming his banjo. PaulB

These guys know how to party..... roll out the barrel!!
Okay, we didnt quite get round to 'roll out the barrel' but these guys are fun guys and know where the handle is on a pint pot....or so they tell me! Some sort of Rumanian Lager (firewater) was the order of the day, brought back from foreign travels at great non-expense. Them Rumanians get in everywhere! This was all happening at the annual David/Linda Hannent carnival bash at PMC Castle St, proprietor David Hannent, building sureveyor to the stars!
