Many of you will have seen and enjoyed the story in this weeks Dover Express about flying saucers and all things Alien. And you will have read in those illustrious pages, that strange flashing lights have been spotted in the sky by various readers, and not after the pub either! See our picture of the newspaper on left. Well we couldnt let this grand occasion go by without interjecting our own tuppenceworth into the equasion. Not only are we experts on all things extra terrestrial on Doverforum..having seen at least two or three movies on the subject, but we can show you our own picture below of an inter-planatery craft. Whereas the excellent picture in the Dover Express is an acknowledged mock-up and a very good one at that...ours is in fact the real thing! Yessirreee the real thing...a real flying saucer.
Yes indeed! Several witnesses after a long session in the local tavern have sworn that they saw it dangling furiously, and with malice aforethought, over and above Dover Castle itself. It was seen on one recent sunny summer afternoon.
So clearly therefore, based on the solid testimony of those fine upstanding citizens who were finding it difficult to stand up at the time, this is the real thing. We do not want to be accused of putting two and two together to make five, so all this week we shall be keeping extra vigilance out over the channel, scrupulously perusing the same piece of sky that the German invaders tried to conquer on a previous occasion. We shall be watching for Alien invasion and will keep all you readers informed at the first sign of trouble. In the meantime, carry on about your daily business as though nothing has happened! PB
