30 September 2012....Milliminor is Labour leader after seeing his Andrew Marr interview. Even as someone who utterly despises the Labour Party for its unbroken record of economic and social failure and wishing them only ill-will as I do, I was squirming with embarrassment watching that interview.
I have never heard any politician use so many words (including many a... ummm and errr....) while saying absolutely nothing at all.
There is an essential art every politician must learn and that is how to not answer a question. Some manage it well, even sometimes leaving the viewer thinking the question was answered! Milliminor failed utterly, like a drunken boxer he telegraphed his punches so even the most politically naive knew he was not going to answer with the first few words uttered after just about every question. Time after time he said 'Let me explain...' he didn't
I have to say that I am also pleased the Balls-up is their Shadow Chancellor.
This obnoxious little man was Gordon Brown's right hand man and at the centre of every mistake Brown made. He tried telling his conference that they did not overspend but 'invested'.... His conference may have believed him, or at least the very few intelligent people there may have pretended to, but no-one else would have.
His idea of investing is the sort of thing investment advisers would rightly get struck off for advising. It would be like advising someone earning £1,000 per month to 'invest' £1,500 per month with the excess being added to the credit card and all the 'advised investments' failing to return a penny. It is no surprise that the longest ever period of Labour rule with 'I banned boom and bust' Gordon Brown in charge led to the biggest ever economic bust,
They must never again be allowed to get their sticky incompetent hands on our economy.
labour finished for all time?
been said many times before, they will get stuffed this time, but no doubt will be back.
you refer to the conferences as important, they are not.
all of them are stage managed for the media nowadays, the public do not take them seriously.
a shell shocked public staggering to the polling stations?
yes, but how many?
gradually over the next 7 months policies will have to be unveiled, truths(well half truths) will come out.
then the public will decide whether the blues get a workable majority or not.
they have already found one banana skin, with the health care budget, how many more will surface?
