The next woman PM????

That is how Theresa May is being spoken about of late.

I am not so sure.

I have met her several times while I was Chairman and she is likable but there is something about her that does not suggest she is leadership material.  I cannot put my finger on it but Mrs M is no Mrs T.....

A new leadership election is not on the cards until, the earliest 2015 and there is a good chance it will not be for a long time after that.  So this speculation is premature to say the least.

For me there are several strong candidates other than Theresa May and there is a long way to go while 'events' (in Harold McMillan speak) whittles them down...

We shall see.
