6 October 2012Unusually, I am doing two blogs this weekend. As well as the opener to the Conservative Conference just uploaded I have a final word about the Labour Conference.
Milliminor's speech has been praised by the usual suspects and there is no doubt they were pleased given the low expectations in the first place.
In the Times however a very interesting pieces of analysis was done by Matthew Parris. I quote:
"""In a speech of 7,369 words lasting an hour and seven minutes, none of the following words appeared even once: individual, enterprise, freedom, liberty ... not one mention. The word-cloud is unmistakable and the fact that the speech was delivered ad lib makes the unwitting testimony to Mr Miliband’s instincts more telling. All the language was collectivist, always it was about group, co-operation and acting together. There was not a single positive reference to a private sector achievement and the remark that “tough settlements” will be needed in public services (much trailed for the media) comprised one lone sentence.""""
This says it all about Labour. They really are THE Party of the BIG STATE. Stuff the individual, as far as Labour are concerned we are all serfs, individuals don't count and we all answer to 'the State'.
If you value your personal freedom and independence, if you are a striver, if you want to work hard for your family, if you run a business. Do not vote Labour because they hate you.
