I am so pleased that DDC has provided long-term certainty for the developers with its Core Strategy. It is a shame that the residents of Whitfield, who voted overwhelming that 5700 should not be built on arable farm land were ignored. I thought the council worked for the people who elected them and acted on their views but obviously this is not the case. It now remains that there is no long term certainty for the people currently living in Whitfield.
