I have within the last hour returned from Dover to Manchester and would first like to convey my condolences to the family of the powerboat racer who enjoying his sport and entertaining the residents of Dover and overseas visitors unfortunatley lost his life. Having said that I was quite dismayed having to witness the majority of the crowd ,after being told this was a real life disaster carrying on drinking and seemingly put out that the entertainment was at that time on hold.My condolences are sincere the fact that I brought up the comments on the crowd is in response to this article is for this reason, it does not matter how many meetings or conferences council bodies have if the very" people" and the area you are trying to "regenerate" are happy with their lot then you are wasting your time. I for reasons I will not go into have travelled monthly to Dover over the last 18 yrs and have seen it evolve
into a cesspit of human waste. These people, many of whom can be seen enjoying a pint each day of the week with their spouses in the middle of town are bringing this town to its knees. All you have to do is listen to their accents : london, liverpool, north east, manchester and midlands they are on a freebie and using DOVER as a base. Dover Council need to promote itself as a resort and not a homeless bedsit land then it will prosper forget the meetings contact me DOVER COUNCIL and I will show you the way." YOU CAN PAY ME ON RESULTS " I want dover to flourish.
