The Oyster Morris and Mad Jack's Morris are opening their 2015 season with a Fool's Tour starting in Dover: 11am at the Port of Call, noon at Cullins Yard and 2.30-ish at the Mash Tun.

Not sure how this qualifies as politics but anyway I chanced upon them in Market Square and it was excellent entertainment, just a pity that a cruise ship wasn't in today. I think most passengers would lap it up.

#3 Howard, didn't mean to post it on politics forum but I did invite all the politicos.

The Morris dancers I had seen previously were largely middle aged blokes, usually with beards bashing sticks together which I find fairly ludicrous. They did have those today but also many young people of both sexes that were clearly talented dancers and the music was good too. If something could be arranged so that cruise passengers are greeted by them either at the cruise terminal or where they get off the bus in Market Square it would give off a welcoming impression of the town. The logistics would be difficult but maybe the Harbour Board would give some thought to the idea?
