    The NHS is free at the point of delivery but most of us have spent a working lifetime making National Insurance contributions based on earnings, which I know from personal experience can be a lot more than £130 per month. A lot of the money treating people who come here just for expensive treatment is rarely recovered and the misuse of the A&E facilities also add to the cost!

    Alcohol, cigarette smoking and drug misuse are also a heavy cost to the NHS which needs to be addressed as they are 'self inflicted injuries' and should be financed in some way by those who choose that way of life.
