What a pointless exercise going all the way to Latvia when there is no chance of any concessions being given. Good photo opportunity but nothing else.

Cameron is setting himself to be an international embarrassment. Along with Cameron Elphicke shares some very strange views. Such is the modern conservative party. We'll just have to live with it. What a shame there is no political opposition worth their salt. Prepare yourselves for a massive decline in living standards.

With the greatest respect, Philip, that post is long on slogans but just a tad lacking in analysis. Perhaps you could enlighten us by saying what views you find strange, and why, and how you arrive at your conclusion about living standards. I take your point about the pathetic opposition. The Labour party keep mistaking their own navels for the nation's conscience and the SNP rabble have started off by treating the Commons like a kids' party venue.

The issue of tax credits could be a major stumbling block in the negotiations.

Interesting that Ms Harperson has said she now supports the referendum.

According to the Telegraph, only British, Irish and Commonwealth citizens who are resident in the UK will be allowed to vote in the referendum on Britain's membership. Also, only those aged 18 and above will be able to vote.

Always seems ridiculous to me that people who don't live in the country have a say in how our country is run .

I would like to thank the conservative's government, and charley boy for giving the British people the EU referendum and for keeping it to UK citizens only.
Now it's the fight to convince the people to vote us out of this mess.
Hopefully we can start an all party Groups of supporters committed to leafleting and campaign for wining the out vote .

I was reading a piece by Daniel Hannan earlier and he is saying that the demands from Dave are so undemanding that the EU is likely to agree to them all.

Hannan is correct. With Cameron's weird world view, as I expressed earlier, the UK is set to become one big laughing stock to the whole world and his dog. It's all really rather awkward.

I liked the bit about returning them to the country of entry to process their application of asylum, so that all those that come across here should be sent back to the original country.
