  The only thing I find dam horrible even unbranded is the quality of ham/chicken. So riddled with fat and grissle and looking so un appetising, even the more expensive packs. Gone to luncheon meat which is so much better than the actual ham lately.
  
  As to Howards many production lines will do batches or different runs and they will be different brands/blends but same producer. And as highlighted branded products often carry a premium as they have a huge advertising budget.
