Plans for roadworks during the busy summer months on one of the main access routes to Dover's Eastern Docks, will go on public display this month.
Work on a string of improvement works to the A2 Jubilee Way, will begin next month.
But it will mean overnight and daytime closures of the road.
On Wednesday, July 31, a public exhibition will be held for motorists, local residents and businesses to find out more about the scheme and how the work to deliver it may affect them.
Highways Agency project staff will be on hand to answer their questions at the event which will take place between 4pm and 7pm at Maison Dieu House in Dover.
The first phase of the scheme will start with preparation work on Monday, August 5 and will involve overnight carriageway closures in both directions on August 12, 13, 14, 28 and 30.
The second phase will start on Monday, September 9, and will involve the London-bound carriageway being closed until October 14. The coastbound carriageway will remain open to traffic between 6am and 8pm, Monday to Saturday with work being carried out overnight and on Sundays.
All overnight work will be carried out between 8pm and 6am.
During the carriageway closures, fully signed diversion routes will be in place via the A20 and A256.
