  Mis-sorts are nothing new and certainly nothing to do with privatisation. I did temporary Christmas sorting for the old GPO nearly 50 years ago and we used to get plenty in those days (and no postcodes to help sort them out)! The best, I think,though not strictly a mis-sort, was a small card going from one part of Italy to another which had slipped into the back of the unsealed envelope of a much bigger card. It amazes me how many people still send unsealed cards even though the cheap concession disappeared decades ago. Old habits die hard.
