They have a good road links with a new by-pass open and there are ships still in service that could get into Ramsgate with ease .But it does not matter what will be will be .Having also worked in Newhaven port that is also one way of crossing it is much bigger then Ramsgate ,and I love that part of the UK and a great coast line.A mate of mine is or was the port boss comes from Dover Mr S Borman in Newhaven and was also my boss when I was down there in the 1990s,there was a number of us working on the births taking old ones down and building new ones +re pairs to the ships there.It does take some time to get over to the other side from there.
