This year's regatta has been postponed until August Bank Holiday Week-end - 30th August - due to ongoing uncertainty over the situation in Calais.

That seems a very sensible thing to do.
I hope the Calais and French authorities have things under control by them but will not hold my breath, they seem to let all strikers do just what they like

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.

I am trying to recall if there has ever been an August Bank Holiday that the French didn't strike on!

It would be nice if buses were laid on,or if people offered lifts to those who need it..

Stagecoach only had their normal Sunday services running yesterday which meant most buses were running late because of all the extra passengers.

Terrible weather for the Miner's festival today, don't think they were running buses either like they have done in the past.
