    CALAIS-UPDATE

MY FERRY LINK - INDUSTRIAL ACTION

Industrial action is reported to be taking place again by My Ferry Link staff in Calais. It's not clear if this action will cause as many problems as last week.

    EUROTUNNEL

Following significant disturbances with migrants overnight leading to a disrupted timetable and delays, we are currently experiencing waiting time. Furthermore, we have been advised of strike action at the Port of Calais which indicates that today will be a difficult day for cross Channel traffic.

In addition, as work on the Eurotunnel expansion continues they advise the following:-
To be able to complete some of the large scale works, there will be the following closure.

The access road to Eurotunnel from the A20 will be temporarily closed from Monday 29th June for up to 7 weeks. During this time, all traffic will be redirected to the M20 so that your drivers can rejoin the terminal accordingly. These diversions will be clearly signposted.

Please note that the main flow of traffic accessing the Eurotunnel terminal from junction 11a off the M20 motorway will not be affected.
