If over, what are all those lorries stationary on A20 and still delays on crossing the channel. Am trying to get info re crossing with DFDS as understand their ships still cannot use Calais and are having to divert to Dunkirk. Relative in France due to cross at the weekend.

P&O reckoned it would take 48 hours to clear the several thousand lorries backed up in Operation Stack so they must be well on the way to doing that with a residue on the A20 and beyond. Ditto on the other side of the channel where traffic was backed up into Belgium.

DFDS ran throughout the MFL (SCOP SeaFrance) strike as their main service is to Dunkerque West which was largely unaffected by the union action apart from one snail convoy and an attempt at blocking a roundabout. The Calais Seaways and Malo Seaways, which run to Calais and are completely French manned, have been prevented from running to Calais. Therefore the Calais Seaways has been transferred to the Dunkerque run. The Malo Seaways remains tied up in Dover.

An enormous amount of trucks were backed up at Dunkerque so again these will take time to clear. The latest tweets for this service state that the ships are running with a 60 minute delay and "Please allow 90-120 minutes to reach check-in controls from the continental roundabout outside the Port of Dunkirk."
