One minute I had both then a runaway van decided I didn't need them.

Blimey. Looks like the company owning the van are the people best placed to repair the damage!

Hope they repair it to your satisfaction Howard - and obviously at no cost to you as well.

If its any consolation you got some good pictures there.
They might also be useful if anything legal needed later.

Get on to a good lawyer and get your claim in for whiplash, loss of ea rnings, hurt feelings, trauma to the cat and all the priceless ornaments which fell off the mantelpiece in the impact.

Oh dear, at least you were not standing there but still a shock for you.
Have the local rags asked to interview you and use your pictures for an information packed space filler.

If the local paper run the story make sure you put on your saddest face and point to the wall as if to say "Look. At. My. Wall. It's. Not. There. Anymore".
Take some tips from these people:

They spoilt your exotic flower display and chipped the container too Howard! Was it an accident or perhaps the start of some covert fracking operation?

The police were notified Martin but they didn't turn up, I assume because there were no casualties.
The company concerned have cleared all the rubble and have promised to rectify things in about 3 weeks.

Oh dear Howard what a misfortune. It is good to hear that the company concerned have reacted responsibly. Never a dull moment up your end of town.

Having taken on board Peter's advice in post 6 I am now wearing a neck brace lifted from Buckland when the nurses were on a smoke break which sorts out my whiplash claim. This photo of the cat will prove that she is in a coma despite the fact she was sunning herself at the time it happened.

You would get more compensation if you could switch. The cat in the collar and you in the coma!
