To prove the saying that "everything that comes before 'but' and after 'because' is bullshi#t":
I don't like to blow my own trumpet BUT we are in a feature on page 12 of The Sunday Times.
I had to bury my pride and abandon my principles to buy a Murdoch paper but by wrapping it in the Sunday Sport I think I got away with it!!

...and to encourage others to do likewise...but...but

Eat your pride Mark, the article must be worth a minimum of £10k publicity.
Someone better placed could tell what a spot like that is worth.
That's business sunshine.
Keep up the good entrepreneural work.

Thanks for the messages. It certainly helped with today's trade and I hope some of you will venture over when you can; it's always good to put faces to names.

would love to go and sample the beer on offer but the pub is only open evenings and there is no bus service back to dover.
cabs cost a fortune over that distance.
It was open lunchtimes Howard , unless that has changed recently . Its also a manageable walk from the station , but the next time we go over you are very welcome to a lift

i keep getting this vision, bearing in mind his background, that when he rings the closing bell and customers make for the door, him booming out "the bell is for me not for you".
I cut and pasted this from thier website , Dont get between Mark and the bell Howard

I've just trawled back to find this one in the archives...2007.. can you believe it! Time flies and no mistake. The picture shows Mary Graham one time reporter with the Dover Mercury and with an association to Doverforum at the time, seen here in Blakes presenting Mark Robson himself with a bottle of something very nice after he won our Doverforum caption competition. Cant remember much more about the event other than that....but ahhh heady days!
