In honour of our East European guests I have learned some of their phrases for Christmas.
1. Vesele vanoce.
2. Polib mi prdel.
These seem to cover most eventualities.

What is wrong with the UK today,? We must get back to our own ways if our guests as you say do not like it then stay away,Time we said its our way of life going to church and teaching our young ones about God and it is going to stay that way.

Doubt if anyone has been offended, just the metropolitan elite being offended on someone else's behalf.
I remember some years back the head of the muslim parliament saying there is no way that he and his fellow muslims could be offended by the sight of a hot cross bun.

We Brits are too polite, too tactful and accommodating, too petrified to offend other cultures and beliefs! Time to stand up for our traditions and values, of course in a civilised way.
MERRY CHRISTMAS, EVERYONE!

Well at playgroup its not 'wish you merry Christmas' anymore but happy holiday so its neutral. Just daft, didn't think pc could get any worse than what it is already.

All religious holidays should carry the name they refer to in the greetings and best wishes, be it Christian, Jewish, Muslim or any other religion you can think of. These holidays should also be celebrated how people wish so long as it is not breaking the law or causing trouble for others.
This political correctness is quite simply daft and thought up by idiots with not enough serious things to occupy their silly little minds.

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.
