There is much that could easily be respected and admired in the Wiki entry for the Andrew Mitchell chap, but any sign of him having grown up as he has got older there is none.
" ...they barricaded themselves in a room while I was left to figure out what was going on...
...Then one of his male aides emerged in tears. He told me again that I had betrayed the party, the trip, the group, and that it didn't matter anyway because I was going to get sued."

This man is guilty of disrespecting the men responsible for his protection
It cannot be a very good feeling standing on them gates day after day

mr mitchell has promised to devote more time to his constituency even though there is no evidence to say that his constituents deserve such a punishment.

It now appears that he, Mitchell, was well and truely fitted-up.
On Channel 4 News;
CCTV footage, authenticated by the Cabinet Office, does not show much of an opportunity for swearing and dispels the 'fact' of members of the public being present.
There has been an arrest, this may be of a serving policeman who is suspected of sending an email substantiating the erroneous 'facts'.
Trouble t'mill, and no mistake.

Police officers making such false accusations is a serious matter. His career and character seriously damaged by lying police officers. I hope some of you who hoped for his guilt and joined in the attacks on him will acknowledge you were wrong. He may not be a 'nice' man but he was seriously stitched up.

The truth is not out yet, and there doesn't appear to be any evidence(facts)on the police
more so the ex minister has said he swore at the police
this seems to being forgotten

No - the Michael Crick investigation shows the police lied. You just want him to be guilty that is all.

There is a case to investigate regarding the ``off duty`` policeman`s involvement.
The fact remains the policemen`s....who were verbally abused by Mitchell........``log``recording what happened is still
the basis of
resignation / dismissal ...........and is still upheld by the Police Commissioner.....

As i said in my earlier posting
this guy admitted himself he was guilty in that there is no doubt
he clearly said on bbc that he did swear at the policeman
all hes disputing is others accounts of events which is fine.
of course we have now political undertones here isn't mitchell the one who wants to help david davis unseat the mouse?
with mitchell being out of the limelight hes no good to david davis.
The mouse will need to make a stand, and would the mouse realy want mitchell back?

All of this CCTV etc was available at the time, why has it come to light now? surely it would have been one of the first things they would have looked at?
