  I am saddened that Augusta is getting so much stick for trying to do the decent thing. Whilst standing talking to her for just five minutes this morning whilst she was obtaining even more signatures, I was really shocked to see the disrespect that parents with young children had for the town's Memorial to it's fallen. Allowing them to use it as a play area with no attempt to remove them or try to explain it was 'special'. The grass is rarely in a good state, I twice, in the summer, went into the DTC office to complain about the neglect. So if Neil Wiggins is going to talk about respect and honour and tatty flags, perhaps the finger should be pointed at DTC first before trying to belittle Augusta Pearson's efforts.
