Can anyone remember where this shop was?
Was it where the paint shop in London Road was?

You've got me scratching my head there Karlos. The "Deals" type shops have come and gone over the years. Currently we have Massive Deals and Best Deals not to mention Wyse Buys. I'll scratch some more and possibly come back to you.
However, I can tell you that the paint shop was formerly the Dover Bargain Centre run by that Chinese legend Mr Mann.

Just opposite where the bus stop was I think. Think same style shop there but slightly different name. it had name up side of wall also if I remember correctly.

My late mother-in-law, a lovely lady, had the misfortune of living directly opposite the Dover Bargain Centre and having this festering ruin disfiguring her view for very many years before action was taken and new owners transformed it into the Paint & Decor Centre. This was the view from her window.
Prior to the horror of the Dover Bargain Centre years, it was George Thomas hardware shop, redolent with the aromas of yesteryear. The shop front is preserved at Dover Transport Museum.

George Thomas was a real old fashioned hardware shop where you could buy one tap washer or screw if that was all you needed, now everything is in a packet.

As far as i know Deals of Dover has always been next to the Lotus house and owned by Stewart.Sells s/hand games consoles,games ,dvds,guitars,etc etc.
