Just some of the great places we went to.First we hired a barn cottage on a farm at High Normanby nr Whitby,first stop was Robin Hood Bay weather was great and we love it down there one very big hill to walk down to get to the open sea and great walks when the tides go out we was there all day.
Next place was the town of Whitby nice town with a fishing harbour we went out to sea in A 60+YEAR OLD LIFE BOAT and saw the seals etc then went into the old lanes and up to the Abbey long climb up the steps because of my leg that took a long time.THen the steam trains but it cost to much for us to go on b ut great to see them.We went to Whitby for two days lots to do and see there.One day in Scarborough. and the rest of the days was spend in heartbeat places just like you see on the TV.We went to Goathland,,Pickering. Stoping off at times on the moors,Went to the very good Folk Museum at Ryedale at Hutton le hole great parishs to go to.
We also went to the Eden Camp site at Malton it was a prisoner of war camp now a site taking 4hours to get round of the two great wars and Military history of Britain on the 20th century.The huts etc are still there and used to experience the sights sounds, and even smells of life on the home front and the frontline there are 28 huts with working modals in each one it is the only modern history theme museum of its type in the world.we also went to the Wolds Way farms of Lavender at Wintringham.they are the main places but there was others to.
And coming back we stopped off at Stoke to see my family who took us to the great town of Matlock at Bath to see the light show on the River at night +the fireworks and last of all on Sunday we went to Trentham gardens and on to see Stoke play at home.
We had a great time with only one day we could not get out because of the weather.
