Archaeology Up on the Downs

This series of classes will be led by senior staff from Canterbury Archaeological Trust and will provide an overview of the archaeology of the Up on the Downs scheme area. Collectively, these archaeologists have over a century of experience studying the landscape around Dover and Folkestone. Over the course of six evenings they will set out what we know of this rich heritage, stretching back over several hundred thousand years to the Lower Palaeolithic, or Old Stone Age, right up to the remains of the epic conflicts of the twentieth century.
