The average age of a solo swimmer is 33 years, 299 days (based on 620 swims, 36.7% of all solos)

35.9% of solo swims have been made by swimmers from the UK, 20% from the USA.

Average solo crossing time: 13 hours, 25 minutes and 20 seconds.
Average relay crossing time: 12 hours, 24 minutes and 8 seconds.
Average special category crossing time: 12 hours, 58 minutes and 24 seconds.

If every successful Channel swim was made consecutively, it would take 3 years, 361 days, 20 hours, 22 minutes and 59 seconds.

The most successful day of the year, with 50 swims, is 28th August.
